Event Bartenders in NJ
Learn more
The bar is the part of an event that runs all evening and is judged all evening. Our bartenders cover it with Shomer Shabbos staff who know the difference between a simcha dinner, a wedding and a corporate reception, and who read the room before they ask anyone what they want.
What the role covers on site
The bartender covers the bar: setting it up, serving throughout the event, managing the drinks and keeping the area tidy, plus the breakdown at the end. On a full bar service they handle the stock, the glassware and the drinks list your family or caterer has agreed.
Where the event serves kosher wine or a kosher beverage set-up, the bartender works to that list rather than to a general one. That is part of the brief we give them before the event, not something they work out on the night.
- Set up and break down the bar
- Serve throughout the event and keep the drinks list right
- Handle kosher wine and beverage service where it applies
- Keep the bar area clean and presentable for the whole event
Day-of duties

How we hire and screen
We hire bartenders who can serve a busy simcha without the bar becoming a bottleneck and who are comfortable working at the edge of a family event, where the guests are the family's own guests and the service has to stay discreet.
As with every role we place, the bartender is Shomer Shabbos and works under the supervision of the Kashrus Council of Lakewood. We also check their experience with kosher wine service and with events that run late.
How to book
Tell us whether the event has a full bar, a limited drinks list, or a kosher wine service, and roughly how many guests there will be. That is what determines how many bartenders the room needs.
Bar service is usually booked together with the waiters, since both roles are sized against the same guest count and hours. Three to four weeks is our usual window, and eight weeks for peak dates.
FAQ
Can you provide kosher wine service?
Yes. We work to the drinks list your family or caterer has set, including kosher wine and a kosher beverage set-up, and the bartender is briefed on it before the event so the bar serves what it should.
How many bartenders do we need?
It depends on the guest count, the length of the event and the drinks list. A long wedding reception with a full bar needs more than a short dinner with a limited list. Send us the details and we will size it.
Are your bartenders Shomer Shabbos?
Yes. All of our staff observe Shabbos and work under KCL supervision. If the bar is still running when Shabbos begins, the bartender's hours are planned so the service finishes within their own observance.
