Staff languages

Yiddish, Hebrew, English, Russian Staff

Event staff who speak Yiddish, Hebrew, English and Russian — multilingual service for Lakewood NJ and Ocean County events.

Why language matters for an event

A guest arriving at a Lakewood simcha is often greeted by someone who speaks a different language from the one they grew up speaking, and the first thirty seconds of that encounter set the tone of the evening. Our crews speak the languages that are actually spoken at the events we staff, which is a practical requirement rather than a courtesy.

It also matters in the kitchen. When a family explains how a dish should be cooked, or when a caterer explains a plating instruction, the instruction has to be understood exactly the first time.

How we match a crew to a language need

Tell us what you need when you book — a specific language for a guest list, a family member who needs to speak to the crew directly, or a kitchen team that works in a particular language — and we factor it into the crew we send rather than into a promise we make on the website.

Where an event needs a crew with a particular mix, we build it rather than sending whoever is available and hoping.

Languages our staff speak

Yiddish

The everyday language of many of the families and guests we serve.

Hebrew

Used in the room and in the kitchen, and in the briefings that come with a family event.

English

The language of the corporate events we staff and of most of our briefings.

Russian

Common in the community, and often what a guest prefers to be greeted in.
